Wil Master
Wil Master has been involved with numerous projects in the Media/Entertainment arena for purposes of Development, Sales, Production, Financing and Distribution over the past 8
years. He has created solid relationships with numerous international and domestic distribution executives, producers, and financial institutions, as well as attending the major film and television markets
including AFM, Cannes Film Festival, MIFED, MIPCOM, MIPTV and NATPE.
In 1996, while consulting for AMCO Entertainment Group, Inc., an independent production and distribution company based in Los Angeles, Wil negotiated with international
distributors, corporate executives and banking professionals to finalize four production financing packages.
The financing packages were a combination of international pre-sale licensing agreements, international corporate guarantees and private equity facilitated by The Lewis Horwitz Organization (LHO) and Imperial Bank (Comerica Bank). Wil assumed additional corporate duties as VP of Finance and Business Affairs while earning screen credits on each film such as Director of Finance, Post-Production Supervisor and Associate Producer.
Next, Wil was recruited as a consultant and named VP of Distribution by Cutting Edge Entertainment, Inc. (Splendid Pictures) to build an International Distribution division, as well
as assist in the development of the corporate business plan and implement strategies for acquisition and production financing. Wil effectively designed the distribution engine and increased the company's exposure to
the international distribution community and various financial institutions where they have pre-sold and bank financed several feature films.
Wil was then appointed President of International Distribution by Kaleidoscope Media Group, Inc. to restructuring its international division. Wil's responsibilities included
overseeing all aspects of sales and marketing, acquisitions and contract administration.
In addition to over 150 hours of light entertainment and documentaries managed and sold, shows acquired and/or distributed during this term included: Shaka Zulu: The Citadel – Network mini-series, The Magnificent Ambersons – A & E Networks – mini-series.
As an independent consultant, Wil represented Café Digital – Technology meets culture magazine-style half-hour series (52 episodes). He was responsible for its exhibition on
The Discovery Channel, both internationally (100+ countries) and domestically (Discovery Science), as well as arranging production financing. Wil also served as Executive Producer.
Wil is currently consulting and designated as President of Distribution for Newmagic Communications, Inc. and serves as Producer of The Virtual Magician – a 13-Episode, half-hour
entertainment series. Wil has secured world-wide distribution in 45+ countries, co-produced each episode at various levels, and co-financed the pilot and series through international presales, international
co-production agreements and sponsorship arrangements.
Prior to entering the entertainment industry, Wil Master resided on Wall Street for 5 years where he attained full securities licenses including stocks, bonds, mutual funds,
insurance and limited partnerships, in addition to a commodities license earned in college. Wil served as a Fixed Income Specialist for two years and as Financial Consultant for Smith Barney and then onto high
net-worth stock trading.
